So, now we celebrate the second birthday of the Blacksheep barbershop. There's a lot of work behind it, but you were the ones who strengthened us. Our dream was to create a really manly place, where good style and experience represent high quality.
The lot of work is due to the spectacular pace we’ve been evolving in: so many of you choose to come back to us that we can barely keep up finding new ways to serve your needs. We’ve been so busy lately that we almost forgot: Black Sheep Barber Shop became two year old!
Two year ago about this time our first barber shop in Budapest, on Erzsébet körút, and we feel like we immediately got the hang of it: most importantly, we must absolutely love this trade, all of us. This, luckily, was no problem at all – we quickly realized that Budapest is filled with enthusiastic and skilled barbers and hairdressers!
In Budapest there are a lot of barbershops now. Then we had to delve into the culture and tradition of barber shops: although barber shops were nothing unheard of in Hungary before, they got taken over by hairdresser salons, at least until the “Budapest barber shop revolution” some years back. A lot of people are only familiar with barber shops by what they saw in Hollywood movies so we had to see how much we can borrow from all that in order to make a familiar impression..
You’re getting to know us better and we’re getting to know what you like. Luckily you also feel that this profession is more about cutting hair. People visit us to relax, unwind during their busy weeks, enjoy themselves without expectations, they know that at us everything is about the customer’s well-being. Every single customer who leaves with a smile on their face reminds us why we started this thing, why we do it, their smile gives us another burst of energy to continue.
In the future, we would like if Black Sheep Barber Shop Budapest could spread in the city and outside of it. We could say our plans of world domination are on track, thanks to you. Thank you very much for choosing us!
